CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION AT CANNOSSA-DECEMBER 2009

Once again it's that time of the year when the GIUSEPPE VERDI CHORAL SOCIETY honors its tradition as a volunteer and charitable Organisation as well as its rich Italian heritage by visiting the Cannossa Home for the Elderly at Oxley in Brisbane's west. With its large Italian-background residents, the Cannossa Home and its staff enjoyed a great selection of Christmas Carols in their own language performed by our Choir with an specially selected repertoire for the occasion.

An excellent number of the Giuseppe Verdi Choral Society friends and sympathisers within the wide spectrum of the Italian community in Brisbane dined, wined and were thoroughly entertained by the Verdi Choral Society in yet another successful celebration of the musical magic of Italy and its contribution to World cultural heritage.

La Corale Giuseppe Verdi celebrates Carmelo Caruso's biographical book "The Two Hearts of an Immigrant" by Irene Sampognaro at A.N. F.E House

La Corale Giuseppe Verdi was invited to sing at A.N.F.E. to celebrate our Patron Carmelo Caruso's launch of this book. "The Two Hearts of an Immigrant", is the title of a biographical book about Tenerife resident and businessman Carmelo Caruso, and was launched on Thursday, 19 March at 7.30 p.m., at ANFE HOUSE 10 Wyandra Street, Newstead, organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Queensland.
