Almost 400 people helped celebrate the Giuseppe Verdi Choral Society's 50th anniversary in grand style on Saturday 17 November 2007 at the Italo-Australian Centre in Newmarket, Qld . Within a very tight program, including two sessions of singing by the "Corale", dinner, dancing, lottery draw and the customary speeches the evening was, yet again, a successful community development activity well beyond the Italian community, developed, promoted and carried out by the Giuseppe Verdi Chorale Society' Management and choristers alike.
